The Stentplus™ Patient Success Program was created to help the cardiology
team improve patient outcomes through improved adherence to dual anti-platelet therapy.
Through regular communication and education, the Stentplus™ Program reinforces
the importance of starting and continuing with essential dual anti-platelet therapy.
Contributing factors for patient noncompliance
There are three primary factors contributing to patient noncompliance with dual anti-platelet
therapy:
- Education—Patient recall of information received during physician visits is
generally no more than 50%*
- Forgetfulness—Patients frequently forget to take their medication each day
as prescribed†
- Financial—Prescription drug costs contribute to medication adherence‡
How the Stentplus™ Program helps
The primary goal of the Stentplus™ Patient Success Program is to help improve
patient adherence through educational tools and assistance in identifying financial
resources.
By providing your Stentplus™ Program patients with support to define and address
their specific needs, you can be sure that they will be well informed and properly
prepared to maintain compliance with their dual anti-platelet therapy.
The Stentplus™ Program offers:
- Educational materials, including DVD
- Personalized medication reminders
- Information about financial assistance programs
- Stentplus.com for more patient information and resources for family members/caregivers
These are all important elements that all can contribute to meeting the continuing
care challenges your DES recipients face.
