There are three primary factors contributing to patient noncompliance with dual anti-platelet therapy:

1. Education—Patient recall of information received during physician visits is generally no more than 50%*
2. Forgetfulness—Patients frequently forget to take their medication each day as prescribed†
3. Financial—Prescription drug costs contribute to medication adherence‡
